Get to know John:
What’s your perfect Saturday night?
“Relaxing with friends eating a good curry with a poppadum or two….”
“Visiting Australia, although the jet lag killed me especially when I text my mate back home to tell him I was waiting outside and he was still in the UK…”
What are you afraid of?
“Spiders… need I say anymore? Just don’t tell Dale!”
What’s your most satisfying moment as an adviser?
“Doing the job right. There’s nothing better than getting someone back on track and help them achieve their goals and objectives.”
Why did you start Artisan Financial?
“A common desire by Dale and I to get rid of the jargon and simplify what a financial adviser does for each and every client.”
“Being at nursery playing in the sand pit. That set me in good stead for when I play golf and spend far too much time in the sand!”
If you could change one thing about financial services, what would it be?
“Bad press. We are here to help, but too many times we are portrayed as the enemy who wants to rip you off. Ultimately we are here to take you on a journey to achieve your hopes and aspirations.”
What do John’s clients say about him?
“John explained everything to me in a language I understood and genuinely had my best interests at heart to get me the best pension/annuity possible. He took the headache of sorting everything out away from me and I will always be grateful to him for this. Nothing was too much trouble and if I had a query he would respond promptly. If you need an IFA, I would highly recommend John.”
S K, Barnsley
“Where do I start? I’ve known John many years, as far back as school, and even then he was a genuine, kind and thoughtful person.
I find him to be very knowledgeable and when I struggle to grasp the subject, he takes the time to explain things until I understand. He is friendly, honest, approachable and professional.
I can trust him implicitly and know that the advice that he gives is the best for me. I have and will continue recommending John because he delivers a first-class service.”

The formal bit
All investment advisers in the UK must be registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and hold an up to date Statement of Professional Standing (SPS).
We know this might all sound rather official, but it’s important stuff and you should never deal with an adviser unless they appear on the FCA Register and are prepared to show you their SPS.
As you have gathered by now, we like to be upfront, so here are links to our:
